Sameh "Mario" Najjar (born on October 16, 1984, in Berlin) is a German film director of Palestinian descent. His father is originally from Lebanon and his mother from Jordan, giving him a diverse cultural heritage that informs his unique cinematic voice.
Sameh Najjar was born and raised in Berlin, where he developed a passion for visual storytelling early in life. He studied film directing at university and graduated in 2015. Since then, he has worked on numerous film projects and TV Channels, across Germany and Europe, establishing himself as a creative and thoughtful filmmaker.
Over the years, his work has been honored with several awards at international film festivals.
In 2024, he expanded his career into the Arab world, where he continues to direct films and contribute to the regional film industry with a fresh and intercultural perspective.
